Now from the Governor’s office… it’s NOT a trucking problem.
It’s an oil company problem. The Gov’s office says the oil companies are not releasing as much fuel as they should from the tanks in Charlotte because they don’t want to run out before the next shipment comes in. They’ve reduced their allocations in order [...]

The gas shortage is putting the pinch on volunteer drivers for Friendship Trays.
Executive Director Lucy Bush called me to say the crisis pushed the agency to deliver double-meals today.
Volunteers in the local meals on wheels program usually deliver five days a week.
NO food will be delivered tomorrow.

New, large, important studies tonight are linking the chemical bisphenol A to health problems.
Significant health problems: Heart disease, diabetes and liver abnormalities.
Congress is opening an investigation into how the FDA has regulated the chemical. The agency had recently deemed the product safe for food and beverage packaging. A final report is expected later this month. [...]
